Mikael likely to run at Naas on Sunday

Mikael d'Haguenet, one of a trio of top class novice hurdlers in Willie Mullins' yard this season, looks set to bid for a hat-trick of victories in the Goffs Slaney Novice Hurdle at Naas on Sunday.

The French import readily lowered the colours of Pandorama in the Grade 1 Barry & Sandra Kelly Memorial Novice Hurdle at Navan last month, and Sunday's Grade 2 target is again over two and a half miles.

'He worked well this morning and more than likely will run on Sunday. He's been in good form since winning at Navan,' said Mullins at Fairyhouse this afternoon.

Mullins also has dual Grade 1 winner Hurricane Fly as well as Cheltenham/Punchestown Festival bumper winner Cousin Vinny, who has taken well to hurdles this season.
