Formerly with Willie Mullins, Mino Des Mottes (5/2) proved a good winner on stable debut in Bellewstown's opener, the Dickie McGuinness Novice Hurdle.

The son of It's Gino, owned by Gigginstown House Stud, ran out an impressive 10-length winner in the hands of Josh Williamson.

Lisa O'Neil, assistant to trainer said: "A good start (stable debut). Obviously, he had to step up a bit because he was against winners today, but he has some good back form.

"Josh claiming off him was a big help as well. He has done it nicely and Josh gave him a lovely ride. He was in a lovely position the whole way and angled out and took up the running plenty far out, but he did it nicely at the line.

"I think his future will probably be over further in time. He's only a four-year-old, so he has plenty of time on his side.

"Gordon will have a look at options for him and see what fits best."
