Two leading European hopes at the Breeders’ Cup had their tasks made much harder by being handed wide stalls in Monday’s draw, with The Platinum Queen in 12 and Kinross in 13.

Hollie Doyle will have to be at her best on The Platinum Queen, who is widest of all in the Juvenile Turf Sprint, in which Dramatised (four) and Mischief Magic (five) fared better, while Frankie Dettori will need to work some magic when chasing a fifth successive win on Ralph Beckett’s Kinross in the Mile.

Also in the Mile, connections of Dreamloper (three) and Modern Games (four) will be much happier, while Order Of Australia leaves from stall 10.

Charlie Appleby and Aidan O’Brien will be happy enough after Silver Knott and Victoria Road drew four and one respectively in the Juvenile Turf.

John Quinn’s star Highfield Princess should have every chance from stall six in the Turf Sprint, where there is plenty of European interest. Creative Force (one), Flotus (two), Emaraaty Ana (three), Go Bears Go (five) and Naval Crown (nine) all take on Golden Pal (eight).

Nashwa fared well in the Filly & Mare Turf, drawing stall three for Doyle with Above The Curve (four), Tuesday (five) and Mise En Scene in six.

The Platinum Queen’s trainer Richard Fahey’s only other runner, Midnight Mile in the Juvenile Fillies Turf, also needs to defy a wide post in 12 with Meditate in 10 and Manhattan Jungle in eight.

In the Classic, red-hot favourite Flightline drew well in stall four with Life Is Good in two.

Flightline’s trainer John Sadler told www.drf.com: “Good draw. We think at a mile and a quarter we have a good run to the turn and get your position for him. It’s just fine.”
