Mooneista primed for Greenlands Stakes Jack Davison plans to run Mooneista in the Group 2 Weatherbys Ireland Greenlands Stakes over six furlongs at the Curragh on Saturday. Davison said he was pleased with her seasonal reappearance runner-up berth at Cork, but felt that she may have been in season last time out at Naas when not at her best in third. "That's the plan at the minute, she has come out of her last run well. She couldn't be better so we will hopefully turn up at the Curragh in top shape and give it a good rattle," the trainer said. "I wouldn't underestimate how strong a seasonal debut it was in Cork, obviously Ger's horse (Lyons, Power Under Me) just got the better of us on the line but it was a really good performance by her first up. "Then the last day (in Naas) she had just shown signs of being in season in the days before the run so I was a little bit dubious over running her or not. It didn't do her any harm but she might not have been at 100 per cent." The four-year-old filly has won three times in her career including at Group 2 level over five furlongs in the Sapphire Stakes at the Curragh last season.
