Moonstone good after Curragh comeback A trip to Royal Ascot could be on the agenda for Moonstone Magic following her encouraging comeback run in Ireland on Monday. Making her first appearance since finishing down the field in the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket a year earlier, the four-year-old ran a race full of promise to finish third behind Viztoria in the Group Three Athasi Stakes at the Curragh. Trainer Ralph Beckett is in no rush to make concrete plans for his filly, but Ascot's Windsor Forest Stakes is an obvious port of call. "I was delighted because I was watery about going all the way there for a comeback run," Beckett told Racing UK. "It was gluey old ground but that would ride like good ground on her. Her form says she thrives on heavy ground. "Pat Smullen looked after her and nursed her to the line. I was delighted because it was a full year off and she'd come back from a fractured pelvis. "She's come out of the race well. Ground will dictate our plans, but it (Windsor Forest) could easily be a race for her."
