Moore awaits scan results Ryan Moore is awaiting the results of the MRI scan he underwent on Friday. Moore was injured at Newmarket on Thursday when his mount, Newton's Law, reared up and became trapped under the stalls before the final race. While the rider walked away from the scene, Moore was reported to be complaining of pain in his neck and was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge where he has been undergoing further examination, which is understood to have included investigation into potentially damaged vertebrae. His father Gary said: "He had the MRI scan late last night, but he's just waiting for someone to read the results. "It's been a bit long-winded, but they're trying their best to sort things out for him." Moore, who is first jockey to Aidan O'Brien, was forced to miss the final two days of the July meeting at Newmarket and has no rides booked for Monday. He is also not down to ride O'Brien's Archangel Raphael in Tuesday's Grand Prix de Paris at Longchamp, with Joseph O'Brien taking the mount in the Group One event. O'Brien said: "It was an unfortunate thing, I think he's going to know in the next couple of days how long it is going be. "Obviously it is going to take time like every injury, but please God he'll be perfect."
