John O'Neill saddled his first track winner for more than three years with Move It On Over (22/1) in the McDermott Farm Machinery Handicap Hurdle at Sligo.

A whole host of horses moved into contention on the approach to the last and Move It On Over jumped it in third.

He soon stayed on for Philip Byrnes and passed the leader Sekakarma in the closing stages. Move It On Over looked set for victory, but had to withstand a strong finish from Mother Ship (12/1) who closed to within a neck at the line. Sekakarma dropped a length and a half away in third at 6/1 and each-way players drew a dividend from fourth-placed Hob's Angel (18/1).

Move It On Over was supported at a morning price of 40/1. This was his breakthrough victory at the 10th time of asking.

Byrnes, who put up his declared possible overweight of 2lb, said: "It's brilliant to get a winner for Paul (O'Neill, son of the winning trainer), we've known each other a long time.

"We got a good start and I kept a little wide. He missed three out and came off the bridle and I just had to cajole him along. He winged the last and, when a horse (Mother Ship) arrived on our outer, he picked up again and hit the line well.

"I'll leave it to the lads as regards plans, but I'd say country tracks and around two and a half miles is his thing. He'll jump a fence down the road, too."
