Hercule Du Seuil led home a one-two for Willie Mullins in the Grade 3 BoyleSports An Riocht Steeplechase over an extended 2m4f in Killarney, and sealed a double on the card for the trainer.

Market-leader Blood Destiny jumped his way to the front from Ash Tree Meadow two out, but Mark Walsh was riding a stalking race in behind on Hercule Du Seuil.

Blood Destiny and Paul Townend soon went on, but Hercule Du Seuil chased after him and took aim halfway up the run-in before coming home best by two lengths at 9/4.

This improved Hercule Du Seuil's record to six from 11 over fences. He has gone well fresh before and this was his first outing since December.

Frank Berry, racing manager to J.P. McManus, said: "It was a lovely comeback race, they went a good gallop and he settled and jumped great.

"He previously had a great novice year and this was lovely and was a grand race to win. He'll probably stick to those conditions' races."

Mullins had a winner earlier on the card through Sober (4/11f) in the novice hurdle.
