Mullins charts his own course to bumper success Patrick Mullins gave Of Land And Sea a savvy ride in the bumper to run out a cosy winner of the finale at Limerick. Mullins had the 14/1 shot to the fore throughout and nipped out onto the all-weather strip in the back straight between the hurdle wings. The Paul Hennessy-trained gelding opened up a healthy lead approaching the home straight and kept on strongly in the closing stages to post a nine-length success over Jury Time. Of Land And Sea had been fifth on his first start for Hennessy at Naas in mid-December. Syndicate Enjoys Local Success "We keep a few greyhounds for the winning (Evegallahoo Racing) syndicate which is headed by Mike O'Riordan, and being local to here, it is great to win today,” said Hennessy. “We bought this horse on Mags and Danny Mullins' recommendation and this is the lads' first horse with me. "It worked out lovely and I remember Patrick's Daddy (Willie Mullins) doing the same (racing very wide) to win at Clonmel years ago, so they ended up railing the area off to stop him! "It is very seldom I get to use Patrick and now almost all the Mullinses have won races for me, including Danny, Fiona, David while Emmet, Willie and Tony have all trained winners for me. Tom is left but there's always time!" (Quotes by Tom Weekes)
