Mullins hoping for big show from Turtle Tom Mullins is confident Turtle Power will be "knocking on the door" when she makes her racecourse debut at Ballinrobe on Monday. The five-year-old is among 13 declared for the Supermacs Ballinrobe & Claremorris Mares INH Flat Race and has shown her trainer enough at home to suggest she is ready to make her presence felt at the first time of asking. Mullins said: "She's a mare who works very well at home and she's from a good family, so I'd be hopeful she'll run well. "You never know what you're up against in these races, but she's shown me plenty and she's definitely good enough to win a mares' bumper. "Whether it will happen on Monday, we'll have to wait and see." Mullins rates Turtle Power the best of his three runners on the card. The County Kilkenny-based trainer also runs Streak in the Tipperary Water Handicap and Catcheragain in the Family Day 22nd July INH Flat Race. "Streak was disappointing in Wexford the last day and I can't say I have great hopes for her on Monday either. She needs to improve plenty and I'm just hopeful," said Mullins. "Catcheragain ran quite a nice race on her first run at Wexford and I'm expecting a bit of improvement from her. I'd be a little disappointed if she isn't placed." The seven-race card gets under way with the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Race, in which Aidan O'Brien's Dance With Another is opposed by the Dermot Weld-trained Lanyard and Upper Silesian from Jim Bolger's yard. Sabrina Harty's talented hurdler Dalasiri makes his Flat debut in the Ladies Day 24th June Maiden, while the Weld-trained Zurawi is likely to be popular in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Maiden following an encouraging debut third at the Curragh.
