Willie Mullins is responsible for three of the ten entries for the Red Mills Chase at Gowran Park on Saturday.

Melon is the top-rated entrant in the Grade 2 contest and could be joined in the two-and-a-half mile event by stablemates Royal Rendezvous and Blackbow.

Melon was last seen finishing a fine fourth to Galvin in the Grade 1 Savills Chase at Leopardstown over Christmas while Royal Rendezvous won the Grade 2 PWC Champion Chase over course and distance back in October.

The Gordon Elliott-trained Hardline, who pushed Royal Rendezvous close here in October, could bid to bounce back after a disappointing effort in handicap company at Fairyhouse last month.

Earlier on the card there are 11 entries in the Red Mills Trial Hurdle with Saldier another on a retrieval mission in the Grade 3 contest.

The Mullins-trained gelding was pulled up when last seen at Leopardstown over Christmas and would be dropping back in trip to two miles again.

The Galway Hurdle winner has struggled in top company on his last couple of outings since scoring at this level at Tipperary in October.

Gordon Elliott's progressive Teahupoo looks a leading contender if taking up his engagement in the two-miler.

He could face a rematch with last season's Triumph Hurdle winner Quilixios having beaten him on both outings this term, most recently in Grade 2 company at Limerick.

The consistent Darasso, winner of the Grade 3 Limestone Lad Hurdle at Naas last month, is another notable entry in the race.
