Multidimensional Set For Racecourse Spin

Henry Cecil's promising three-year-old Multidimensional is likely to have a racecourse gallop in the near future ahead of a possible tilt at the Champion Stakes at Newmarket on October 14.

The Danehill colt made a bright start to his career by landing his first two races earlier in the year but then finished last of eight in a Listed event at Goodwood, for which he was sent off the 4-1 joint-favourite.

He duly bounced back from that disappointing show when running on strongly to secure a Group Two contest run over 10 furlongs at Deauville on his most recent start however.

Cecil feels he now deserves to take his chance at the highest level following that taking victory, and will consider supplementing his charge for Newmarket's upcoming feature if all preparations continue to go smoothly.

'We may give him a racecourse gallop at some point in the future ? the Niarchos family have kindly sent us Bago's lead horse to work him with,' he told his official website, www.henrycecil.com.

'If that gallop pleases us and the rest of his work goes well, then we may consider supplementing him for the Champion Stakes.

'As he has now won a Group 2, if he goes for anything other than a Group 1, he would have to carry a penalty and give weight away to older horses, which isn't ideal,' explained the Warren Place handler.
