Mulvany reveals autumn targets for The Scallionator Mick Mulvany has outlined plans for his smart two-year-old The Scallionator, with a valuable contest at Naas under consideration for the son of Calyx. Bought for 10,000 as a yearling, The Scallionator was a maiden winner at Listowel in May and saw his mark raised to 100 when a creditable fourth in the Group 2 Railway Stakes at the Curragh last month.  He was last seen when finishing seven lengths off the winner, Sun Goddess, in the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes back at headquarters.  "He's going for a winners' of one in Cork (on September 9th) to qualify him for the Auction Series Final in Naas. We hope to go there," said Mulvany. "I think he is a good horse, and we probably haven't seen the best of him. He probably wants a little bit further than the six (furlongs), so we are hoping he will be staying on again. "He's a nice, good, honest horse, so hopefully he can keep going (as a three-year-old)." Scheduled for Sunday October 11th, the Irish EBF Auction Series Race Final is run over seven furlongs for a total prize money fund of 120,000 euro.  Additional reporting by Michael Graham
