Danny Murphy is hoping that Eclairage can give him a big day out at Epsom next Saturday.

The speedy daughter of Kuroshio is being aimed at the ‘Dash’ over the world record setting five furlongs on Derby Day.

She comes into the race off the back of a recent run at Navan, where she blazed a trail before being pipped late on.

"Isn't it great to have a runner on Epsom Derby day?” said Murphy.

"She won her four (races) around the bend in Dundalk.

"Then we ran her in a Group 3, the Mercury Stakes (at Dundalk) and she was fourth in that. She ran a cracker and then we did a little wind op on her.

"We said if we were going to be going for the Dash, there's a nice race for her in Navan with an uphill finish. Terry Casey was on board and is my new apprentice, and rides very well. He is strong.

"I think she will get the five (furlongs on turf) with the wind op. All we wanted to get was another 100 yards. Navan was the place to find out and I think we did.

"She is very quick out of the gates. If we get a high draw (in Epsom), I think she will run very well.

"Really looking forward to it."
