Murphy talks of Champions Weekend team Confrontational is in line for Sunday's Bold Lad Sprint Handicap at the Curragh. The three-year-old wasn't beaten far at Dundalk last month on his belated start to the campaign, but Joe Murphy is watching the skies. The trainer said: "I have a lot of belief in Confrontational but he must have fast ground. I'm hoping it doesn't rain." St Gallen is set to contest the Northfields Handicap on the same card, and Murphy said: "A couple of things didn't go St Gallen's way the last day and he has had a bit of bad luck - he was in the melee at Killarney. "If he gets a clear run, it would be no shock if he ran a big race." The trainer has multiple engagements in Leopardstown's Ballylinch Stud Irish EBF (Fillies) Maiden the previous day. Murphy said: "Because of the lack of opportunities for two-year-olds in Ireland, I'm having to run all three. "Unraced filly La Baule is a very, very interesting filly. She is a sister to a Czech Guineas winner and is potentially a stakes filly. "The race in the Curragh that Rionach came fourth in is probably the best two-year-old race run this season. She will only run if it is fast ground - good or good to firm. She has really progressed from the Curragh. "Rue D'Antibes will appreciate good ground in Leopardstown and could be anything."
