Mustique out for the season Debutante Stakes runner-up Petite Mustique will not run again until next season after suffering injury. An impressive winner on her third competitive outing at the Galway Festival in late July, the Aidan O’Brien-trained juvenile then pushed Jessica Harrington’s Alpine Star all the way in Group Two company at the Curragh — going down by just a short-head. The daughter of Galileo holds an entry in next month’s Fillies’ Mile at Newmarket, but will not be making the trip across the Irish Sea. O’Brien said: “Petite Mustique has a little hairline, a bit like a stress fracture, in a joint and needs a month off, so it will be next year with her.”
