Naas is fit to host its rescheduled card on Friday, however, a precautionary inspection for 7.30am has been called.

Brendan Sheridan, IHRB Clerk of the Course, said: "I'm pleased to report that Naas Racecourse is now fit for racing ahead of the rescheduled Grade 1 Ballymore Novice Hurdle tomorrow.

"The ground is yielding, yielding to soft in places (hurdle course) and yielding to soft (chase track). We've had 2mm of rain in the last 24 hours and according to Met Eireann, we could get a further 3-4mm of rain prior to racing.

"Having spoken to Met Eireann today, the forecast is favourable but, with a slight possibility of temperatures dropping to -1 tonight, we feel it is prudent to have a precautionary inspection at 7.30am tomorrow morning."

Tomorrow's action is due to get under way at 12.43pm, with the Grade 1 Ballymore Novice Hurdle due off at 1.43pm. The Willie Mullins pair of Saint Baco and Sortudo dispute favouritism for this €100,000 contest.
