Today’s meeting at Naas, featuring the Grade 1 Ballymore Novice Hurdle, will go ahead after the track passed an early morning inspection at 7.30.

Following a further 1mm of rain the going at the County Kildare venue is currently described as yielding, yielding to soft in places, on the hurdle course while the chase course is yielding to soft.

A precautionary inspection was held this morning due to the threat of overnight frost, and the forecast is for a dry and sunny day.

The high-profile fixture was originally due to take place last Sunday but was cancelled due to frozen ground conditions, and the first on a seven-race card gets underway at 12.43.

Willie Mullins holds a strong hand in the Grade 1 with Saint Baco and Sortudo heading the market.

Meanwhile, Dundalk hosts it’s first meeting of 2026 with an eight-race card beginning at 3.25.
