Naas kicks off it´s summer program.

Naas Racecourse kicks off its action packed summer programme tomorrow May 5th, with the Victor Chandler Race Day. There are seven exciting flat races on the card with the first race off at 5.30pm. Total prize money on offer is ?155,000.

The feature race of the day, the www.victorchandler.ie Woodlands Stakes of ?60,000 (Listed Race), has fifteen runners, with the notable English runner, Millybaa, trained by Ray Guest with Mick Kinane on board. The Dermot Weld trained Anna Frid will like the fast ground in this race, having won the Listed race in Cork last September over five furlongs. The same connections of last year's winner Miss. Emma, have entered Miss Serendipity this year.

In the opening race of the day, The Victor Chandler Now In Ireland European Breeders Fund Maiden of ?18,000, Man O World is fancied having just got beaten by a short head at the Curragh recently. However Lord Nelson, trained by Aidan O'Brien, was beaten the 5/1 favourite on its first run and will be looking to improve here.

Cairdeas, owned by H E The President of Ireland, is running in the www.victorchandlercasino.ie (Colts & Geldings) Maiden of ?16,000. Trained by Dermot Weld, Cairdeas was just beaten on his first outing and should appreciate the extra two furlongs here and will take all the beating.

Fresh after his win at the Curragh yesterday, the Noel Mede trained Athlumney Lad is looking for a quick double in the www.victorpoker.ie Handicap of ?16,000. Guest Artist will be the horse giving him the most to do in this race.
