Nash hopeful of National run with Forza Milan James Nash is looking forward to running Forza Milan in the Irish Grand National on Easter Monday with the trainer hoping his previous course winner gets a run at the bottom of the weights. The nine year old won his beginners chase at the track in January and having filled fifth place in a Grade B handicap chase at Navan on March 13, has been allotted 9st9lbs and is number 46 on the list for the 30-runner race. Nash states “it's great to have a horse with, what you'd think, is a small chance in the National and he has a lovely racing weight. Even if they do go up 6 or 8lbs he'll still have a lovely racing weight. “We have everything crossed and he stays and has turned into a great jumper. More importantly he has only ran three times in Fairyhouse and they were probably his three best runs. “I would be fabulous to see how he gets on in a race like the National.”
