New parade ring for Punchestown Punchestown will boast a new parade ring for this year´s Festival meeting which begins on Tuesday April 22nd. Work began last week on the redevelopment of the parade ring, which includes an upgraded drainage system throughout and an extensive resodding programme. The winner´s enclosure will be a sectioned off cobblelock area with a perimeter pathway. There will also be three new viewing platforms overlooking the parade ring. Announcing details of the parade ring Dick O Sullivan, General Manager of Punchestown said: "The parade ring at Punchestown is a wonderful amphitheatre with an electric atmosphere. It is important to us that we provide top class facilities for owners, trainers, jockeys and sponsors."
