NEW TRACK FOR SWEDEN Swedish racing has received a boost with the announcement that a new racecourse is to open at Gothenburg in 2002.A turf track is to be built at a cost of around #6.5 million with financial support from the Swedish Tote _ the ATG.There will be six weekend race days in the first year of operation but it is expected that the figure will rise in the future.The course will see racing return to Gothenburg for the first time since Aby ceased hosting meetings in 1976.
