Newbury date for Taquin Owner Martin Broughton hopes Taquin Du Seuil will return to action in the Denman Chase at Newbury on February 7th. The eight-year-old has failed to strike in three outings so far this term, with his latest run seeing him pulled up in the Betfair Chase at Haydock back in November. Taquin Du Seuil is working towards a comeback, with the Cheltenham Festival still an option for the Jonjo O'Neill-trained runner. Broughton said: "His blood still isn't quite right. We were going to go to Cheltenham next week, but he just isn't quite there. "He hasn't been right since he ran in the Betfair at Haydock, but hopefully he may make it to the Denman at Newbury next month. "We still hope he gets to Cheltenham."
