NEWCASTLE FROZEN OFF Cold temperatures and frozen ground have put paid to tomorrow`s British meeting at Newcastle. Tomorrow`s other jumps fixture at Huntingdon have already called an inspection for 7.30am leaving the possibility of just the all-weather card at Lingfield surviving the elements. Newcastle`s clerk of the course David McAllister confirmed: 'We have abandoned due to frozen ground. 'We have consulted the met office and looked at forecasts on the internet and both agree that the temperature today is not going to get above 2C which means that the frost will not be able to get out of the ground and there will be a further frost tonight. 'In view of this, we have been forced to call the meeting off.'
