Next Destination has been taken out of today's Betfair Chase at Haydock, after failing to eat up.

The nine-year-old was a 13-2 chance this morning, in a race which features favourite A Plus Tard, the Gold Cup runner-up, alongside Bristol De Mai, a three-time winner of today's Grade 1 race.

Nicholls tweeted this morning "Sadly Next Destination is a non runner today. My head lad Clifford Baker was not happy with him this morning having not eaten up overnight leaving us no option but to leave him at home. Hopefully he will be able to run again soon."

Next Destination was a dual Grade 1 winner over hurdles for Willie Mullins before moving to trainer Paul Nicholls last year.
