Nezeeh brings up doubles for McAuley, Hogan and Sheridan James McAuley, Denis Hogan and Joey Sheridan enjoyed doubles at Bellewstown when Nezeeh (6/1) took the honours in the WTW Willis Handicap over an extended five-furlongs at Bellewstown. The always-prominent Nezeeh came through to lead narrowly a furlong out and was kept up to his work in the closing stages to see off a threatening Escaping Thejungle (5/2f) by half a length with Emerald Harmony (6/1) the same distance back in third. Sheridan said: "With that weight, I couldn't go taking back because you are not going to make up ground carrying that weight. I needed to keep the momentum up "The front two were leaning right and I was able to sneak down their inside, keep it smooth and keep the revs up the whole way without cutting his throat. He lasted home. "He's a good, solid horse and probably gets a bit further, but his style of running is more suited to five (furlongs). "I think that's the fourth time I'm after winning on him this year and every time you think he will keep grinding it out for you. "He has run well over seven (furlongs) and a mile, and he'll keep grinding once you keep giving it to him so it is grand." Connections also teamed up with Just Jump (3/1) in the opening optional claimer.
