Nezeeh gets going late to score again Nezeeh overcame a tardy start to land the spoils in the ‘100’ five furlong handicap at Navan this afternoon. The Denis Hogan-trained gelding was on the back foot early but was given a patient ride by Wayne Hassett and was produced to challenge passing the furlong pole. He got on top in the closing stages to post a half length victory over Sir Yoshi. The 3/1 favourite was recording his third win of the season and his first the colours of James McAuley, who said:- "You would wonder why we were out of it (racing) so long! "It is brilliant, we only bought this lad off Denis literally two days before he ran the last day. "He has definitely got very consistent for sure. I saw him in the claimers last year much cheaper, so I could have had him cheaper than I gave for him, but look he has worked out well. "I'm trying to keep the reigns back on him (James Gough) - he's looking to buy and I'm trying to say whoa! "We were going to get four or five for Dundalk and the team might end up at seven or eight, and just tip away. They are for Dundalk, so any that we buy could tip up there." (Quotes by Michael Graham)
