Nicholls faces council problems A row between David Nicholls and his local council could result in the English trainer facing a 'potentially' expensive exercise over the re-siting of buildings at his stables.Nicholls, who trains at Tall Trees, Sessay near Thirsk, has become involved in a dispute with Hambleton District Council after being refused retrospective planning approval for the expansion of his yard. The three unauthorised buildings - one large barn and two `Dubai` stables - have increased the capacity of the stables to 77.However, at a meeting last Thursday the council`s planning committee recommended the refusal of his application on landscape and road safety grounds.
