Nicholls outlines plans for stable stars Champion trainer Paul Nicholls is pleased with his big names as the National Hunt season prepares to go up a gear. Denman could return to action in the Hennessy Gold Cup at Newbury in November, a race he won in 2006. "We are very happy with him, he's cantering now and looks good. He seems right back to his very best," Nicholls told At The Races. "He'll be given an entry in the Hennessy and the Betfair Chase but we don't have concrete plans for any of them." "He could be aimed towards that but nothing is set in stone but it is an ideal stepping stone for the season," Nicholls admitted.
