Nicholls sets his sights on Ireland Paul Nicholls has told the 'Racing Post' that he intends making a concerted bid to be champion jumps trainer in Ireland this season. The three-time British Champion trainer won the Lexus Chase at Leopardstown with Denman last season and also proved successful with Neptune Collonges in the Guinness Gold Cup at Punchestown. This season he has already won the Galway Plate with the gambled-on Oslot, a win that put him in an early fourth place in the Irish trainer's table. Given the strength-in-depth of his Ditcheat team that also includes the likes of Kauto Star, Twist Magic, Takeroc and Master Minded there is every chance that Nicholls can become the first person to be Champion jumps trainer on both sides of the Irish sea simultaneously.
