Nina Carberry to judge Fairyhouse most stylish lady Fairyhouse Racecourse will host the 150th running of the Irish Grand National on Easter Monday, April 18 with Dancing with the Stars front-runner Nina Carberry to judge the most stylish lady. The flagship Easter Festival race is again being sponsored by Ireland's largest independent bookmaker BoyleSports and complimenting the race, the Dunboyne Castle Hotel & Spa Most Stylish Lady will be judged by Nina Carberry. Carberry, the 2011 Irish National winning jockey, joins style sponsor Gráinne Ross, Managing Director of Dunboyne Castle Hotel & Spa, to choose the most stylish lady on the day. The race has become an iconic event and over the years the roll of honour includes many legendary racehorses such as the 1964 winner Arkle, three-time winner Brown Lad, legendary British-trained Dessert Orchid, Bobbyjo, trained by Tommy Carberry and ridden by son Paul, Commanche Court, for Ted and Ruby Walsh while Organisedconfusion won the 2011 renewal for Nina Carberry and her uncle trainer Arthur Moore. Peter Roe, General Manager of Fairyhouse Racecourse, said: “everything we do at Fairyhouse revolves around our annual Easter Festival and it’s very special to be celebrating the 150th running of the BoyleSports Irish Grand National next month. BoyleSports are brilliant supporters of Fairyhouse and we have exciting plans in place for Easter Monday. “We are terrifically proud of the many local success stories the race has produced. The Dreapers, the Carberrys and the Geraghtys are all synonymous with the BoyleSports Irish Grand National and it was so wonderful that Ratoath trainer Dermot McLoughlin could add his name to the list of winners last year with the Sheila Mangan-owned 150/1 shot Freewheelin’ Dylan, especially as his late father Liam rode the winner of the race in 1962. “Our partnership with Gráinne and the team at Dunboyne Castle Hotel & Spa further strengthens the Fairyhouse link to the local business and enterprise community and we expect competition for the most stylish lady award to be as hot and as exciting as the racing itself.”
