No appeal decision yet from Murtagh Jockey Johnny Murtagh has yet to make a decision before deciding whether or not to appeal a six day suspension following his winning ride on Starspangledbanner in yesterday's July Cup. Murtagh received the careless riding suspension, having taken his mount to the far rail early on, at Newmarket and stated at Fairyhouse today "I'll have a look at the video of the race a few times before making a decision on appealing."
