No catching No Return as Keane blazes Curragh trail Colin Keane made full use of a favoured stands side draw when blazing a trail on No Return to land the Tote Multiples Available On Tote.ie Irish EBF Maiden at the Curragh. Fourth at Cork over a furlong shorter last time, the Danny Murphy trained gelding was fast into stride here, holding a couple of lengths lead after less than a furlong. At least five lengths clear by halfway, Keane had to get down to work over a furlong out, as No Alibi and Cold Hearted began to eat into the lead. However, having taken such a significant advantage from his rivals earlier in the race, Keane had enough in reserve to keep on again for a two-and-a-quarter lengths win. “We ran him last Sunday in Cork but he didn’t travel well in the lorry, he got very keyed up and sweaty,” said Murphy. “We left him in the paddock for the week and I only train a mile from the track here. He put back on the weight that he lost. “It’s great to win.” Additional reporting by Gary Carson.
