NO CHASES AT CORK

There will be no chases at Cork`s St Stephens` Day meeting, it was announced today.

A morning inspection found the chase course to be unraceable so the Grade Three Greenmount Park Novices Chase and the Macroom Handicap Chase were cancelled.

Two of the remaining races will be divided to make a seven-race programme.

The going is described as soft.
