Nolan making plans for Shinrock

Paul Nolan is weighing up the options for his exciting novice hurdler Shinrock Paddy.

The five-year-old was unbeaten on his first three starts in bumpers events before finishing eighth behind Dunguib at Cheltenham.

He made a winning start to his hurdling career with a battling display at Punchestown and Nolan is expecting significant improvement wherever he turns up next.

"We're just making up our minds whether to go for a Grade Two at Cheltenham, or to stay at home for the Barry & Sandra Kelly Memorial Novice Hurdle at Navan (December 13th)," said Nolan.

"Everything is going fine and he'll improve from that first run.

"He definitely looked as though he wanted two and a half in Punchestown, but then he had to make the running and at least he won and jumped very well.

"We think there's a lot of improvement in him and we couldn't be happier at this stage."
