There was another Walk In The Park-sired winner in Wexford's Irish Stallion Farms EBF Academy Hurdle over two and a quarter miles where Albert Dravins' homebred The Two Degrees made a winning debut at odds of 10/3.

Sean Flanagan's mount looked held in third two out, but had stayed on to dispute the lead with 6/5 favourite Noon Blu Dodville when that rival came down at the last.

The Two Degrees stayed on to defeat Hansel the Purse by two and a quarter lengths.

Winning trainer Paul Nolan reported "I'm very happy with that. He looked a bit raw in the parade ring, and I'd say he's after growing a hand in the last month.

“We had the mare(Tucanae), she won her bumper and was a decent sort of a mare. This is her first foal.

“It was probably a harder race than you'd like for a youngster starting off, so we'll give him a chance for a while now and give him a bit of a break after that.

“I'd say he's a nice horse going forward.
