North Coast made all in the Group 3 Tyros Stakes at Leopardstown to bring up an across-the-card treble for trainer Joseph O'Brien.

The market expected Aidan O'Brien's Flushing Meadows to graduate with Group 3 honours as he went off the 30/100 favourite after being pipped by a short head when 2/9 favourite for a Group 3 at the Curragh last month.

Flushing Meadows had the leader in his sights rounding the home bend, but came under pressure a furlong and a-half down. North Coast didn't relent and the gap soon widened.

Ryan Moore eased the runner-up in the closing stages once he was beaten and North Coast galloped in by six lengths at 3/1.

O'Brien said: “That’s probably a good trip for him, a stiff seven.

“He ran great in Naas and you’d have to be impressed with what he did today.

“I backed him up a bit quick coming here, so we’ll probably go straight to the National Stakes now rather than going for the Futurity on the way. That would be my immediate thought.

“He’s a smart colt and has an exciting future.

“I was very impressed with his last half furlong. It looked like it was going to be an eyeballing match down to the line, but he really pulled away again.”

Dylan Browne McMonagle did the steering on the winner and was also on Hardy Warrior for O'Brien, while Claude won over flights in Wexford for him.

Paddy Power gave North Coast a first show of 25/1 for the 2,000 Guineas and the Derby.
