Notforalongtime recorded his sixth course win and ninth in total when turning the Dundalk Stadium Group Deals Available Apprentice Optional Claiming Race into a procession.

Rory Mulligan ’s mount led early in the straight and after asserting over a furlong out, kept on strongly for a facile success at odds of 13/2.

The Laura Hourigan-trained gelding had an easy four and three-quarter lengths to spare over Roman Harry at the line with Solomon Coop a further length back in third.

Hourigan said, “He does like it up here, he's fairly good up here.

"The last day there was nothing to gallop at really. Robbie (Colgan), to be fair, got him into a good rhythm. There was no front-runner really the last day, so Robbie did that with him.

"Today, there was loads of pace in there and he just followed it in.

"No, I don't think so (wouldn't want to lose him), but the bills have to be paid too. We have to think of that as well.

"There's another meeting here in two weeks, but I also have the grass with him. I was probably running him on the wrong ground last year - when I got to the races, it turned up soft. He probably wants good ground.

“He has a good mark off the grass as well, so if he could do that on the grass it would be great." Little Keilee (fifth) was the only horse to attract attention afterwards and was retained by connections with a friendly claim of €7,000.
