Nuit impresses in the finale Henry De Bromhead's Nuit (8/11F) got off the mark impressively at the twelfth attempt in the concluding Follow Tote on X Maiden this evening at Ballinrobe. Fourth on her last two starts in stakes races, the Sea the Stars filly took this step down in class in her stride and quickened clear of her nearest pursuer Pampar Lady (28/1) in the straight to score easily by eight lengths. Colin Keane described how, "She's had solid runs in stakes company and was entitled to do that, but she still had to go and do it. "I was happy enough to go wide around the bottom bend, because I had plenty of horse under me. "They've done a good job on the ground, it's on the easy side of good, and I think she appreciated that. She wouldn't want it too quick. "Anywhere from a mile and a half-up is a good trip for her. "Hopefully this will give her a bit of confidence and she can pick up some more black type."
