Joseph O’Brien’s powerful yard registered a Naas double today, as their Thoroughbred Racing Syndicate/Bronsan Racing-owned Listentodwindblow (2/1f) landed the Fox Dunlavin Maiden under champion jockey Dylan Browne McMonagle.

Earlier successful on O’Brien’s Group 3-winner Rebel Moon Browne McMonagle was hard at work on Listentodwindblow throughout the final two furlongs, with the pair getting the better of Transcript by a half-length.

Browne McMonagle had last week scored on Limestone in the Queen’s Vase, one of O’Brien’s five Royal Ascot winners, and today the trainer stated “Dylan got to control it and he quickened up well, although it was a tough finish.

“We’re very happy with him, he had to be tough and he was.”

“I wouldn’t be ruling out running again on Sunday (in the Curragh’s Tulfarris Hotel And Golf Resort Maddenstown Handicap), so we’ll have a think about it. He had previously been rated high, in the mid 90s, and is now 89 so I think there might be more to come from him.”
