Aidan O'Brien reports his Emirates Melbourne Cup runners Mahler and Scorpion fit and well ahead of Australia's biggest race on November 6.

The high-class Ballydoyle duo arrived Down Under last Sunday following a 36-hour trip from Ireland.

O'Brien, who is in New Jersey for this weekend's Breeders' Cup meeting, said: 'The lads are happy with both of them so far.

'They cantered on Wednesday and cantered on Thursday and they'll be catering every day from now, so they seem to be reasonably happy with them.'
