O´Brien Delighted With Alexandrova´s Victory Aidan O´Brien saddled his third winner of the Vodafone Oaks when Alexandrova proved six lengths superior to her rivals and the Ballydoyle handler admitted that he had been hopeful going into yesterday´s race. 'We weren´t that disappointed or worried when she finished second in the Musidora at York first time out,' said O´Brien. 'She nearly got knocked down after 50 yards and was then labouring a bit. Kieren was very happy with her after that race and said she´d improve a ton. 'She went to York as a trial, that was the main purpose, to get her ready for yesterday. Kieren was very confident about yesterday after that. 'Any filly that wins the Oaks is very special and we´ll have to sit down and talk but I´d imagine we´d go for something like the Irish Oaks. But she has a lot of speed as well and doesn´t have to run over a mile and a half.'
