O'Callaghan has high hopes for Now Or Never Michael O'Callaghan is hoping smart juvenile Now Or Never can develop into a Classic contender this season. The Bushranger filly ended last season by finishing last of nine in the Moyglare Stud Stakes, but O'Callaghan is confident that run can be discounted. The Group One contest came just over two weeks after a fine effort to finish second to Herald The Dawn in the Futurity Stakes and connections feel in hindsight that it was too soon. Now Or Never holds entries in the Qipco 1000 Guineas at Newmarket and also the Tattersalls Irish 1,000 Guineas. "We're delighted with her and she has wintered very well. She's got a great middle on her now," said O'Callaghan. "The plan is to go to Leopardstown for the Guineas trial at the start of April. She's a filly that doesn't want fast ground and likes a bit of cut. "I'm happy enough to draw a line through her run in the Moyglare as she had a very hard race in the Futurity just two weeks before that. "She made all on heavy ground then and didn't get a breather at all. "We're very pleased with her. She's back in fast work and definitely seems to have trained on."
