O'Callaghan readying Royal Ascot team Michael O'Callaghan has pinpointed Twilight Jet as 'his best chance of a winner' at Royal Ascot. The Co Kildare handler is set to send a strong team to the Berkshire venue, with Navan maiden winner Harry Time another likely to make the journey across. Twice successful as a juvenile, Twilight Jet impressed on his seasonal debut at Naas, making all in the Lacken Stakes. He is now set to return to the highest level in the Commonwealth Cup on the Friday of the five-day spectacle. "I am looking at having a number of runners at Royal Ascot but Twilight Jet is the only one finalised completely at the moment. He goes for the Commonwealth Cup," O’Callaghan said. "He's done fierce well since winning at Naas and has come on again. We are very happy with him and looking forward to it. He’s the best chance we’ve had going there. "He's strengthened up and sees out six furlongs really well now. He’s run in Ascot before and knows the track. "Harry Time will go for the Coventry but heads to the London Sale first on the eve of Royal Ascot. "It’s very hard to win a maiden in Ireland first time out and he's won well in Navan. He's kind of won it doing a half-speed to beat Aidan’s Broadhurst well. "He's the type of horse that doesn't need a lot of racing. He’s very straight and very professional. "We think a lot of Mehmar. Leigh said he got a bit unbalanced at Tipperary and he could still be a Windsor Castle horse. The winner (Lady Tilbury) is going for the Queen Mary and he was giving her 7lb. "He's followed the same path as Twilight Jet — the winners race at Naas first time out, the Marble Hill and then Tipperary. He's a big robust horse and I think he'll improve again. "Olivia Maralda might go for the Queen Mary and Malex could go for the Britannia if he gets in."
