Ogden pair under consideration for York Connections of Amazing Maria are to make a late decision as to whether the filly to take on the colts in the Pinsent Masons LLP Acomb Stakes at York on Wednesday. The Ed Dunlop-trained juvenile will also be put in the Whitely Clinic Prestige Stakes at Goodwood on Saturday, but entries for that race are out just a few hours after the final declaration stage for the Acomb. "The Acomb looks very hot and she will also be entered in the Prestige at Goodwood, which was our original thought," said Barry Simpson, racing manager to owner Sir Robert Ogden. "We put her in the Acomb just to have a look at the race, but it looks very competitive against the colts. It will be more of a last-minute decision where we run her. "Unfortunately we have to declare before we see the entries for Goodwood. That doesn't help, so we will have to think about that one. "We'll monitor the Acomb at declaration time on Monday and see what's going to run in the race and then make a decision. If she doesn't run at York she's very likely to go for the Prestige." It is similar situation for Olympiad. The Dermot Weld-trained stayer is in the Lanstone Building Conservation Handicap over an extended two-miles on Wednesday as well as holding an entry in the Betfred Ebor on the Knavesmire on Saturday. "He's in the Ebor and in the two-mile handicap, but I don't think he's certain to get in the Ebor. That's another decision we have to make on Monday," said Simpson.
