Full Of Life made all over the extended two-miles in the Grade 3 Irish EBF Feathard Lady Mares Novice Hurdle to spring a 9/1 surprise.

The Great Pretender mare sealed doubles for Henry de Bromhead and Darragh O'Keeffe who also landed the opening maiden hurdle through Some Song

She was tracked throughout by even-money-favourite Carrigmoornaspruce who challenged her two out, however, the leader was nothing if not resolute and she kept on best along the run-in to score by a length and a-quarter.

She certainly didn't go unbacked having opened at 14/1.

"Delighted, fair play to Roger (Kissane, owner) as he suggested it," de Bromhead said.

"We went chasing with her and we were just getting everything wrong with her. We decided to drop her back over two miles and then she ran really well in Fairyhouse the last day, but over fences.

"We just said we would keep her novice tag for next year because we found she is probably more a two miler, her brother is a two miler.

"Then Roger suggested entering her in this and fair play for him to suggesting it. I thought roll the dice and see.

"Fair play to Darragh, he gave her some spin. She's brilliant to jump and she is exciting.

"Absolutely (plenty of options now), I'd say we just got trip all wrong - we went two and a-half and we even went two six at one stage. We will stay hurdling for this season now and she will be a nice novice chaser next year as well.

"Jumping the second last, I said said she has a good chance of getting black-type anyway if she finished in the first three.

"We'll see, she has been busy. I'm starting to think of bigger things now. Magical Zoe won this race before, we'll see what Roger wants to do. She has been in a while so we might back off her for a while and come back for a spring campaign."
