The Paul Fahey trained Omakase opened her account on grass when staying on strongly under Jessica O'Gorman to win the concluding Gowran Handicap.

Successful at Dundalk over the winter, the seven-year-old proved equally as effective on turf, on what was only her second attempt at two-miles.

Held up in rear by O'Gorman, the Power mare got a dream run up the inner rail early in the straight, to go second over two-furlongs out.

Ridden to head Dumb Love a furlong from home, the 7/1 chance kept on well to hold the late run of Bynx by two-lengths.

Omakase was off the track for nearly four years until reappearing last autumn for Paul Fahey who said, “She has a two-year-old in training with Joseph O’Brien by Decorated Knight.

“The plan is to go jumping with her. She has schooled over hurdles and will be a nice dual-purpose mare for the summer.”
