The Seamus Neville trained Onlymammycanloveme kept on strongly under Tiernan Power Roche to win the Albert Bartlett Triple Crown Series At Punchestown Festival 2026 Qualifier Handicap Hurdle at Cork.

Runner-up on his most recent start at Gowran Park earlier this month, the seven-year-old gelding was sent off 14/1 to go one place better.

Prominent from the off under Power Roche, the gelding led over the penultimate flight and found plenty for pressure to beat Onefortheditch by one-and-a-half lengths.

Power Roche said:- “I was talking to (assistant trainer) Michael (Murphy) and they’ve had a few issues with his back. He just wasn’t jumping like he can.

“They had a few different lads looking at him and gave him a bit of time. He seems to be back to himself now, he jumped well today.

“Maybe he’ll get his confidence over hurdles and then they can go over fences another day.

“I know they love him at home and you can see why, he looks like a big old fashioned chaser.

“He won a point-to-point for Vinny Devereux so he can stay three miles.

“Maybe because he’s so big he had those couple of issues. He felt in good order there today, he felt like the horse I rode in Clonmel the day he won. It’s great to see him back in the winners’ enclosure.

“I actually thought he liked a good bit of juice in the ground but Michael said to me that the drying ground would suit him.

“He travelled away on it lovely and seemed to have a little bit of a turn of foot turning into the straight.

“I had to commit him early. I didn’t want to as it’s such a long way home in Cork with three hurdles up the straight.

“In fairness to him he stuck down his head and kept going to the line.”
