A trip to the Breeders' Cup and retirement are both under consideration for talented filly Duntle following her excellent run in defeat in last weekend's Sun Chariot Stakes at Newmarket.

Having been disqualified when first past the post in last year's Matron Stakes at Leopardstown for causing interference, the Group One victory that would significantly increase the four-year-old's broodmare value continues to prove elusive.

David Wachman's charge travelled extremely well in last Saturday's Group One event, before eventually claiming third behind Sky Lantern and Integral.

Connections are now considering whether to call time on the filly's racing career or send her to Santa Anita, while there is also the possibility she will race on next season.

Alan Cooper, racing manager for Duntle's owners Flaxman Stables Ireland, said: "She ran a lovely race, we were very pleased with her.

"We're just going to feel our way and decide on whether to give her one more run and keep her in training next year. We haven't made a decision yet, we'll see. The Breeders' Cup Mile is an option for her."
