Options open for impressive Dundalk winner Verse Options are open for Evening Verse after her impressive win on the all-weather at Dundalk. The Hilary McLoughlin-trained filly sprinted clear inside the final furlong on Friday night to record an easy six-and-a-half length win. She was hit with a 15lb hike for that victory, moving her up to a mark of 66, and connections are mulling over the next step for the daughter of Poet's Voice. Having originally mentioned the possibility of a tilt at the listed Noblesse Stakes connections are now reconsidering their targets. Former jockey Martin Ferris, partner of the trainer, said: "We didn't put her in the Listed race as we just felt that she probably needed to do a bit more. There's a Listed race in Gowran at some stage in May. "She's in a 100-rated handicap (at Cork on Sunday) that she probably won't get in to. "She's something to look forward to but the handicapper slapped her with 15lb. We will have to see what happens." (GC & MG)
